About the event
A series of five lessons designed to introduce people to sewing practices and techniques. This course will endeavour to provide a valuable grounding in sewing terms, strategies, and stitches which will allow students to confidently pursue competence in the art form.
Students can expect to learn how to recognise different fibres and weaves, work with different fabrics, use a variety of tools necessary for effective sewing, take measures and draft basic patterns, deploy a range of stitch types in the making of a garment. Materials will be provided.
