Breaking News - Nativity a hit

On Sunday, 15 December during our 10am service a group of around 15 young people from our AfterSchool and Junior Youth communities came together at All Saints' to put on a performance of our Nativity Play, Breaking News. With the plot of a news report from the time of Jesus' birth following the events and moments, there were plenty of laughs, plenty of cute moments and a wonderful retelling of a story that continues to inspire hearts today.

The gathering began with a reading from Luke 2:1-20 - the story of Jesus' birth. This section ends with the words that Mary treasured all of the words shared about Jesus and pondered them in her heart. As we started, that was the encouragement as we lit the candle of joy on the advent wreath to announce the joy the story of Christ's birth brings into the world.

Thank you to all of the young people who took part in the play, and those who are planning to be there on Christmas Eve from 5:30pm for our next performance during our Cupcake service. We always have spare costumes, so if you or your child(ren) would like to be involved came along a little earlier on Christmas Eve and we will get them dressed up as something!
