How many of you recall receiving booklets in the mail with an assortment of local education opportunities that varied from language to crafts, academics to hobby skills. They were once a staple of the NZ letterbox, with countless people taking up a lesson or two of Spanish while also discovering how to do some pottery. Over time, and with a cut in government funding, these services and offerings diminished to a far smaller and harder to access offerings today.
As a community, we have a vision to rebuild something like that community education provision. Beginning with the things that fire us, theology, biblical studies and spiritual formation, we are hoping to stretch into far great areas as we connect with people who have passions and hobbies that they are happy to share with others. Whether that be in the form of classes, or in one-off workshops where a particular skill or hobby is explored, we want to help our wider community grow through a sharing of one another's joys and loves.
With a timeline of late July to launch our first terms offerings, we have listed below some of what will be on offer through Pro Sanctis. This is not all we wish to be offering however. And so, if you or someone you know has a passion they wish to share, a skill to hand on, a knowledge that needs to be known or just a heart for something that others may find interesting, please get in touch with us. We would love to work with you or them to offer a wide array of opportunities to equip the community to live lives to their fullest.
