Upcoming Safeguarding Training

On Saturday, 7 and Sunday 8 September, All Saints' will be hosting training toward the Diocesan Safeguarding requirements that have been established following the Royal Commission of inquiry into abuse in state and faith-based care. The report highlighted the lack of clarity and process for managing complaints and for the standard of behaviour that is expected both of clergy and of those empowered by the church to minister and lead.

The safeguarding training consists of two levels. Level one is for all those who volunteer or hold roles within the church and is the general introduction to safeguarding and the church's process for managing issues. Level two is for those who hold governance roles, are licenced clergy or are licenced lay people within communities. Level two is a more specific training that relates to the position of authority they hold.

The training at All Saints will be held at the following times:

Saturday, 7 September

9.30am Level 1 a

1.30pm Level 1B

Sunday, 8 September

12.30pm Level 2
