On Saturday, 23 November All Saints' Church was flooded with friends and family for the wedding of Drew and Angelique. As two members of our church community, Drew and Angelique have really become a part of so many parts of our common life and so there were a good number of us present to pray our blessing on their marriage as well.
Amongst the beauty of a wedding service, a hallmark is always the exchanging of the vows. The couple had written their own, which they declared to one another before joining in the traditional vows of commitment and faithfulness that have married people in the English-speaking world for centuries.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party moved on to St Michael's Church in Puketapu, where a large gazebo had been put up on the lawn allowing for a large crowd and a glorious meal to be shared, while stories were shared and new memories created.
Congratulations to Drew and Angelique as they begin their married life. May God bless your union and may the love you have for one another grow everyday as you grow old together.
