Christmas Lunch brings Christmas Cheer

It is hard to believe that we are already at that time of year, but a group of around 80 people came along to All Saints Church this afternoon to share in an annual celebration we offer - our Christmas Community Lunch. The culmination of a year of gathering twice a month to share in food and fellowship, the Christmas Community lunch offered that classic Kiwi meal of turkey, ham and new potatoes and to finish, what else but a hearty piece of pavlova.

We would like to thank all of the team who made the lunch possible, especially Jen as the coordinator and the kitchen team who prepared, served, cleaned and cleared. It is a mammoth effort, but one that so warmly touches the communities heart.

This lunch marks the end of our community lunches for 2023. The lunches will return in February of 2024. We are grateful to the support of the Higgins Bequest and Te Whatu Ora for their ongoing support of our lunches which allow us to prepare them for all-comers through the year!
