Feeding the one hundred...

While not quite as sizeable as Jesus' feeding of the 5000, Wednesday saw something of a miracle as the Community Lunch team prepared a Christmas lunch for 100 people, including delicious turkey, ham, classic baked potatoes and all the trimmings, all topped off with a sizeable portion of pavlova and Christmas Pudding.

The afternoon was a wonderful occasion with the hall and lounge at All Saints packed out. Starting with some, if he does say so himself, excellent Christmas jokes delivered by Alan, the gathered were then able to enjoy the meal as carols played over the sound system and the joy of the season was known in the fellowship at each table.

Thank you to all of those who supported the lunch, especially those in the kitchen, and to Anglican Care Waiapu and Te Whatu Ora who have both generously supported the Community Lunch Ministry through 2024. We look forward to gathering again in the new year, starting on the second Wednesday of February.
