Every other term break, the Junior Youth Group in Taradale have a chance to give back to their parents by preparing, serving and waiting tables at a Parents' Dinner. This is usually five courses of delicious food, crafted with the help of the kids and the knowledgeable lead of Julie Joule.
The dinner is part of the initiative to help teach the young people graciousness and thankfulness - doing for one night what their parents and caregivers do for them every night. This time our focus was an English one, with the main a choice between a handmade meat pie or roast pork - both of which were delicious.
For more information about our youth programmes, contact the Church Office. We run a Junior Youth programme for those 8 to 13, and a Senior Youth programme for those 13 to 18. All of the groups have a focus on discipleship and growing as followers of Jesus.
