I don't know about you but it gives me a bit of buzz when I have more recycling than landfill rubbish each week.
We have started collecting the soft plastics from the church kitchen and who knew we devoured so many biscuits!
Jo Shoebridge picks these up and stores them until she runs to Hastings and drops them off.
Our new plastic communion cups will be heading off there soon. They are coded 5 so fully recyclable just too small for the curbside pick up.
If you regularly drop off oat/almond milk cartons please can you wash them cut the top and bottom and keep the plastic lid on. They need to be clean and dry before they go into our bin, its a bit wiffey when we come to sort them thanks.
Image on So Good Almond is the correct way.
SaveBOARD a company based in Auckland turning these into a board like gib, with all the plastic lids and colour packaging providing an alternative product that is also saving emissions.
