Refurbishment Continues

The keen eyed will have noticed a different feeling around All Saints recently. In case it has slipped past you amongst the busyness of that space, the carpet in the lounge, offices and foyer of All Saints has now been replaced, bringing a new and clean sense to the whole space and integrating the different areas.

Some may have seen the prayers, scripture and messages the youth left on the concrete floor of the foyer before this carpet was laid (see the images below). The new carpet has also prompted a shuffle in the admin area. With more staff coming on board this year, what was the Vicar's Office has become a shared workspace with four desks and the office beside has become the pastoral office where personal conversations and more quiet gatherings can occur. These complement the staff room space that we developed last year and has proven hugely helpful to us all.

As the refurbishment continues, we will see the carpet in All Saints itself replaced in the week beginning Monday, 17th February. This is likely to take the whole week as the floors are sanded and made level and the rougher pasts made smooth to allow for the carpet tiles to bond and stay down. We hope that those who have seen the carpet elsewhere will already have a sense of the transformation that will come to All Saints' Church when it is laid.
