We have an organ!

The sharp-eyed amongst you may have spotted a new organ sitting at the front of church.

The 8 o’clock congregation last Sunday will have even heard it played!

Eagle eyed Derry found it on Marketplace, - it was living in a garage just up Church Road, and the owner, Mrs Elaine Squires, was SO delighted it could go to a church that she donated it to us for free!

We agreed to give a $100 donation to a charity of her choice; The Bible Society.

Some volunteer muscle and a loaned mail-van, and last Friday evening we got it moved-in, plugged-in, and working. Thanks to all who helped lift and shift.

It’s not a replacement for the beautiful instrument we had, but it is better than the little keyboard we were having to make do with. It’s a stop-gap, yes, but it doesn’t sound half bad!

Now we just need some people willing to play it for us; please form an orderly queue.
